Antimicrobial Protection on Partitions! Metpar Corp. can now offer an antimicrobial agent into the manufacture of toilet partitions!
We're pleased to introduce MetSanTM. You now can specify and order our Powder Shield (baked enamel), Stainless Steel, or Solid Plastic (HDPE) partitions with MetSanTM antimicrobial agent. MetSanTM can be integrated directly into our powder coat paint used in our line of Powder Shield Baked Enamel toilet partitions, applied as a clear coat on our line of Stainless Steel partitions, or incorporated directly into the raw material of our Solid Plastic (HDPE) partitions.
This special material inhibits the growth of microrganisms, also known as microbes. These microorganisms are actually living cells, commonly found in the form of bacteria, fungi, mold, mildew, and algae. These cells can cause a variety of problems, including noxious odors, discoloration, degradation and corrosion of base materials, and the formation of biofilm (mildew and slime). If left unchecked, the bacteria levels can double in number every 20 minutes, especially in high humidity and moisture areas such as public bathrooms. The use of MetSanTM keeps the surfaces cleaner longer, won't wash or wipe off because it is built-in, thus it provides continuous antimicrobial protection as long as the surface coating remains intact. This applies to Baked Enamel and Stainless Steel. Our MetSanTM Solid Plastic has antimicrobial agent throughout the entire thickness of the plastic. Using an antimicrobial product like MetSanTM is the best way to provide residual protection against microbial contamination as a supplement to proper hygiene cleaning.
Antimicrobial coatings coupled with proper cleaning practices can help prevent the spread of many disease oriented microbes, including the "superbug" recently in the news known as MRSA. This staph bacteria is resistant to a variety of antibiotics, is easily contracted from one individual to another, and can multiply very rapidly. It can live on fabrics and hard surfaces for up to 90 days. MRSA can cause many different kinds of infections, ranging from simple skin infections (boils, furuncles) to septicemia (infection of the bloodstream) and toxic shock syndrome, and is spreading rapidly in the United States and worldwide. Authorities are frequently requiring antimicrobial coatings to be applied to sports equipment, locker room benches, and other high-touch surfaces to prevent the spread of MRSA.
Be safe. Contribute to the health and safety of your community - specify MetSanTM next time you think of partitions!
